- interactive viewing - students will be able to turn the creature to
view it from any position; zoom in or out, penetrate the skin and view
the organism from inside
- visual isolation of organs - by making everything else transparent
or translucent
- touching, pushing, pulling - using force-feedback devices, students
will be able to have the experience of interacting haptically and kinesthetically
with the creature.
- simulated physical and chemical measurement - by inserting meters and
indicators of various kinds at selected points within the creature.
- simulated phyisical and chemical manipulation - by injecting virtual
substances into the creature at selected points
- students to explore, visualize, touch, and change these creatures in
ways that are impossible with real laboratory animals.
