Structure:
The procoracoid bones are L-shaped bones, lying posterior to the clavicle
bones, forming a triangle with them. The front, the ventral, large
part of the sternal bone is attached to them as they join each other in
the midline.
Function:
The procoracoid bones give major support and stability to the pectoral
girdle. This feature is essential for its' role in breaking the fall
for the trunk in its' landing after a leap.
