Structure: Motor nerves are connected from the central nervous system, especially the motor cortex of the cerebrum and of the cerebellum, as a part of the peripheral nervous system. Autonomic nerves are also motor nerves.
Function: Motor nerves carry efferent impulses from the brain and spinal cord to organs throughout the body, such as skeletal muscle, in both the head and trunk.
