Comparison of Frog Species

From Frog Island, go to Habitat Land. To do so, you can click on the forward pointers on the marker posts until you reach Habitat Land. Also, you may steer yourself there using the control stick in the bottom of the 3-D screen. Habitat Land is located slightly to the right and ahead of where you start. Finally, you may get there by clicking on the bar next to the control stick in the bottom of the 3-D screen.

Once in Habitat Land, look for frogs. They may be on the ground, up in the trees, or in the water. To find out information about a particular frog, click on it. Some frogs will yield information; others will not. Use the information you find to fill out the table below, then answer the questions. Make sure you use resources outside of Frog Island.

    4. Which of the frogs that you did research on seems to be the fastest or furthest jumper? Why do you think this is so?

    5. If you were to design a better jumper, how would you modify an existing frog to do this?

    6. For two of the other species, explain why each would not be as good a choice as the species you chose in question 1.
